lismore model flying club

G-force.

Shortly after Christmas every year the Queensland Pattern Flying Association holds a round of their aerobatics competition at our airfield. Our own club is not well-endowed with pattern pilots but we seem to attract excellent flyers to the event including a number of star performers living north of the border.

Competition categories include Basic, Sportsman, Expert and Master. The Basic class is for new-comers to the sport. The class allows you to compete using a high-wing trainer.

The heats are flown on both Saturday and Sunday of the competition weekend. All pattern flyers are welcome to enter. Camping is available on the airfield for the duration of the contest. As the airfield is on the edge of one of the state's larger rural cities, a wide array of amenities are close at hand.

Pilot briefing is held at 9am each day, flying starts at 10am.

If you are interested in camping on our airfield during the competition, email our club president and notify him of your requirements.
